Product Description

Printulu recommends making sure that your brochures and booklets are printed in high quality. The brochure designer should put considerable thought into their layout and design to bring the story of their business to life. The basic content of brochures should include your company name and logo, products and service illustrations, as well as descriptions. It is also important to include contact details such as the company’s address, email address, telephone numbers and website address.

For the best results, use professional design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, or Illustrator. Ensure that your saved artwork file adheres to all the items on our checklist. If you are not comfortable with the respective design software, we recommend making use of our professional in-house design services. We can even create brochure templates to assist you!

We don’t offer leather-bound covers. However, you can request that your cover page is a higher weighted paper than your inside pages. Send a request to support@printulu.co.za with your cover and inside page requirements.

Our standard offering is up to 60-96 pages. We can print anything within those boundaries. The thickness of the paper selected for the inner pages will limit the number of pages that can be bound. However, if you have relatively complex requirements such as more pages, different covers, and finishes, you can email support@printulu.co.za and one of our customer service consultants will process your request accordingly.

Bleed is the area around your artwork that is trimmed off. This allows your design to look as if it was printed to the edge, even when the cutting alignment was slightly off. Your bleed should always extend to at least 3mm.

Brochure printing requires that black text must only be set up with a K value. Setting up your black ink colour as a CMYK value will result in misalignment.

The history of booklets is as old as writing on paper. This started with tablets, scrolls, and sheets of papyrus.

What immediately predates the bound multi-page books we know today are hand-bound, and sometimes handwritten, codices that the ultra-wealthy could only afford. Thanks to the invention of the printing press, introduced to us by Johannes Gutenberg, many have access to a plethora of books at reasonable costs today. These advancements in mass production techniques also enabled businesses to print booklets showcasing their goods and services.
