Product Description

How should you design it? Use high-resolution imagery - this box frame comes in an extensive range of sizes but is mostly used for large format prints. This is why high-resolution imagery is necessary to help your box frame look its best. When designing your box frame, make sure you are happy with the design and that nothing is missing on it. Lastly keep the design simple and eye-catching. For photos, make sure the images are edited to be vibrant and colourful without being overly saturated. While we are on the topic of design, for the best results, use professional design software such as Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, or Illustrator. Also ensure that your closed artwork file respects all the items on the checklist for print-ready artwork. If you are not comfortable with the respective design software, we recommend you make use of our professional design services. This is crucial, as a poor design can, in fact, harm the overall impact of your product.

Our Services We offer you a wide range of configurations to print your box frame as you would like it to be. This includes a variety of sizes between A4 and A0, as well as custom quantities of up to 50. Our process is extremely easy. Choose your configuration and quantities online, add the product to your cart, check-out by paying online, and then simply upload your files. Your box frame will then be delivered to your doorstep – anywhere in South Africa.

Yes, we do! We supply the box frame in five different sizes. Check out our ‘finished formats’ section when placing your order online and select the size you would like.

No, unfortunately, we do not offer a shadow box frame product yet. Let us know if this is something you think we should stock. Drop us an email at support@printulu.co.za and we will get back to you as soon as possible!

Bleed is the area around your artwork that is trimmed off. This allows your design to look as if it was printed to the edge, even when the cutting alignment was slightly off. Your bleed should always extend to at least 3mm.

A box frame is a highly popular way of showcasing your beautiful images in a different and stylish way. One of the earliest frames in history was discovered in an Egyptian tomb dating back to the 2nd century. The use of canvases in art became popular in the 16th century during the Italian Renaissance, when it was discovered that canvas was cheaper and easier to acquire than the other materials that were commonly used. (Source) As printing technology has developed over the years, artists started to turn to digitally printing their art. Since the 1990s, photographers have also been using canvas for their prints. Box frames are an even more affordable alternative to the standard canvas print.
